| In 1994, Carol Barnes graduated from Regent University Law School in Virginia where her emphasis of study was Family Law. She is licensed to practice law in both Nevada and Colorado. Carol is an experienced trial attorney, a certified divorce mediator also trained in domestic violence protocol, and is a former Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children. She also obtained a Certification as a Financial Divorce Analyst. Carol handles cases in all areas of Family Law including divorce, custody, visitation, child support and child support arrears, paternity, adoption, and guardianship, termination of parental rights, domestic violence, premarital agreements, relocations and name changes. Carol is divorced and amicably co-parents a daughter with her former husband. As a divorced parent, she understands the feelings of grief and loss as a marriage ends. Carol enjoys the process of helping people end a destructive marriage and create a successful future for themselves and their children. Carol believes that protecting your financial future, while learning new ways to communicate and interact with your child's other parent, is the key to diminishing the negative impact of divorce on your child's life. |
